BON BINI: BANGKOK NIGHTS wins franchise's 5th consecutive Golden Calf Award
Bon Bini: Bangkok Nights has won the Golden Calf from the Audience for the fifth consecutive time. The award was accepted at the gala in Utrecht by producer Maarten Swart and the children of leading man Jandino Asporaat. The Golden Calf of the Audience is awarded to the Dutch film that’s attracted the most cinema visitors during the period from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024. All previous four films in the franchise were awarded the Golden Calf from the Audience in the Netherlands. In Curaçao, Bon Bini Holland, Bon Bini Holland 2, and Bon Bini Holland 3 are the most visited Dutch films to date.
About the film
When Judeska and Ping Ping take out a loan from Asian business tycoon Lo Pei Chan, to expand their fast-food chain F.C. Chicken, they lose everything they’ve worked for. With the help of hacker Roy, they track down Lo Pei in exotic Bangkok where he owns a heavily guarded villa. With the help of the F.C. Chicken-crew, they concoct a bold and risky plan to reclaim what was taken from them. But the heist goes completely different than planned, which results in a thrilling and hilarious adventure.

The comedy’s main cast includes Jandino Asporaat, Alpha Oumar Barry, Phi Nguyen, and Sergio Romero IJssel. There are also roles for Albert Jan Rees, Kwok Wan, Ankie Beilke, Vincent Croiset, Liza Sips, and Lovella Telesford. Kaap Holland Film produced the action-comedy in close collaboration with Het Huis van Asporaat and Huntu Productions.
